‘missing you’ is the new single from British duo and lifelong friends lavender. Their music, not excluding this track, is notoriously genre-defiant. They specialise in an emotive, multi-layered sound that shows off their varied influences, from gospel and indie, to J Dilla. On the sample that sits at the heart of ‘Missing You’, they explain: “The track is built around a sample from The Independents ‘Baby, I’ve Been Missing You’, which Oskar came across while stuck in London traffic listening to (our favourite radio station) Supreme FM (number 1 in North London!!).
